WITDOUCK FARMS near Iron Springs, AB, is seeking employees for the 2013 season. GENERAL FARM WORKERS (labourer) – NOC: 8611 (6 positions; starting at $11.50/hr) are required full time (45+ hrs/wk) for February 1 2013 through September 30 2013. Some evening, night and weekend work. Accommodations are available. All applicants must be willing to work with both leafcutter and honeybees, be in good physical condition, work in a team environment, English speaking and have a valid motor vehicle license. General Farm Worker’s will assist with: handling bees, build/repairing equipment, preparing equipment, placement/pick-up of pollination equipment and bees in fields throughout southern Alberta. Honeybee positions

KIWI BRIAN’S HONEY near Iron Springs, AB, is seeking employees for the 2013 season. APIARY TECHNICIAN – NOC: 8253 (2 position; starting at $13.75/hr) and APIARY GENERAL FARM WORKERS – NOC: 8431 (6 positions; starting at $12.53/hr) needed full time (45+ hrs/wk) for March 1 2013 through November 15 2013. Some evening, night and weekend work. Accommodations are available. All applicants for either position must be willing to work with both leafcutter and honeybees, be in good physical condition, work in a team environment, English speaking and have a valid motor vehicle license. The Apiary Technician (NOC: 8253) must have a minimum of 3 seasons full time experience in a commercial apiary, with knowledge in hive management for honey and pollination production, disease diagnosis and mite threshold monitoring. General Farm Workers (NOC: 8431) must have a minimum of 1 season full time experience in a commercial apiary, and have basic knowledge to assist beekeepers with bee hive management, building and repairing bee equipment, placement/pick-up of pollination equipment, and honey pick-up/extraction/processing.
